Born out of the vibrant Chicago music scene, Sneezy is a funk-soul jam band that knows no boundaries. Rooted in lifelong friendships and a shared love for collaboration, the band seamlessly blends funk grooves, neo-soul rhythms, hip-hop beats, and rock energy into a sound uniquely their own. Seth Yacovone Band - SYBlings Vol. 2 Release Party

Seth Yacovone Band - SYBlings Vol. 2 Release Party

SETH YACOVONE BAND - SYBlings Vol. 2 Release Party. SHAKEDOWN LOUNGE @ STOWE CIDER. NOVEMBER 29TH. 8PM.

TICKETS: https://www.eventim.us/event/Seth-Yacovone-Band-SYBlings-Vol-2-Release-Party/668077?ttc=1794586

About Seth Yacovone Band:

Vermont’s hard-hitting blues-rock-improv power trio. Seth Yacovone Band, an eclectic blend of blues, rock, Americana, funk, metal and jam influences, was born in Burlington VT in 1995. The band started after then 15-year-old Seth Yacovone (guitarist, vocalist) won some studio time at a guitar contest and a band was formed and gigs were booked. After two albums as Seth Yacovone Blues Band, the quartet with Luke Boggess (Harmonica and vocals) ended. Tommy Coggio (bassist 1996-2010) remained with Seth as the band transformed into the trio format in 1999, shortly after the arrival of Steve Hadeka (drummer) who pushed Seth musically and the band began to explore music beyond straight blues, shortening the name to Seth Yacovone Band (SYB). Bringing the songs of Yacovone to life, the trio brought excitement to the Northeast music scene and beyond, creating music that defied their traditional blues reputation and pushed the band further. Seth was invited as a guest of the band Phish in 1998, joining the group for a performance of his original song “All the Pain Through the Years” and a cover of the Derek the Dominoes classic “Layla”, exposing Seth and SYB to a whole new audience.

With the lineup solidified, Seth Yacovone Band began recording the first album under that name, "Dannemora," in 1999, released in 2000 followed by “Standing on the Sound” in 2001, and a live album “In a Moment” in 2003. These albums along with constant road worked helped solidify SYB’s reputation as a passionate, fiery live improvisational rock n roll band with songs to back it up.

During this time, SYB opened for legendary acts such as BB King, Ray Charles, Dr. John. The Neville Brothers, Johnny Winter, Little Feat, Trey Anastasio and Gov’t Mule. The band toured from Maine to Florida to Colorado and two trips to Italy, where crowds ate up the band’s blues rock weirdness.

Despite their rising success, the journey was not without its challenges. The pressures of constant touring and the demands of the music industry took a toll on the band. Calling it quits in 2005, they reunited for runs in 06 and 09. Seth made a double album with Steve Hadeka on drums in 2008, “Land of Split Decision” with a Vermont all-star cast featuring many SYB fan favorites.

In 2013, Bassist Alex Budney joined forces with Steve and Seth, and after a few rehearsals, it was decided that this was in fact, a new version of Seth Yacovone Band, and the wheels started turning. Seth Yacovone Band was back, made stronger than ever due to the rock-solid chemistry of Budney and Hadeka, propelling Yacovone on to higher heights and a more consistent overall package. With maturity and years, the lineup “Going to 11” and beyond, a true group mind, unattainable without musicians spending years playing together, has emerged, at the best times the three playing as one. Two albums have been released, 2016’s “Shovel Down”, 2018’s “Welcome”, as well as an EP “Thanks”, answering longtime fans wishes for brand new Seth Yacovone Band recordings. The band has continued to be a powerful live act, finding new avenues and a harder-edged sound.

Seth Yacovone Band is a testament to their unwavering passion for music and bringing people together through live music. Ignoring trends, fads or expectations, they’ve displayed a commitment to following their muses, wherever they may lead.

As they continue to create and perform, Seth Yacovone Band remains dedicated to pushing the boundaries of their music, seeking honesty in dishonest times.

SYBlings VOL 1, the band’s eighth full length album will be released on April 4, 2025, on Vinyl, CD, download and streaming, worldwide! SYBlings VOL 1 was recorded and mixed at The Box in Burlington VT by Urian Hackney, along with additional recording at Lion’s Den Studio in Syracuse NY by Brian Lauri, and it was one of the last albums to be mastered by Lane Gibson at Lane Gibson Studio in Charlotte VT before it closed in 2024.

8 new original songs from Seth, Steve, and Alex. A sister album, SYBlings VOL 2 will be released later in 2025.

Don’t miss SYBlings VOL 2 and this album release party at Shakedown Lounge @ Stowe Cider, Stowe VT on Nov. 29th 2025!

Soule Monde Holiday Show Ft. Rob Compa & Chuck Jones

SOULE MONDE HOLIDAY SHOW FT. ROB COMPA & CHUCK JONES @ SHAKEDOWN LOUNGE AT STOWE CIDER. 12/18/25. 8PM.

*2 Set Show. One Set Soule Monde Xmas Album, One Set Soule Monde original

TICKETS: https://www.eventim.us/event/Soule-Monde-Holiday-Show/667328?ttc=1792496

About Soule Monde:
Soule Monde is avant funk, born of the syncopated minds of power drummer Russ Lawton and organ wizard Ray Paczkowski. The “duo” is cemented into an indestructible unit, where bold improvisational leaps are interpreted telepathically and reciprocated effortlessly. Paczkowski has an intrepid ability to simultaneously tame the Hammond B3 and clavinet, filling Soule Monde's sound with beautiful and dynamic melodies. Lawton is the consummate ‘pocket’ drummer, driving the groove further without ever losing a step, or Ray. This is the jazz-duo your parents warned you about.
Their pedigree speaks for itself, much like Russ and Ray’s music. While Lawton has played alongside Vermont staples like Mike Gordon, Strangefolk, and The Grippo Funk Band, Paczkowski’s early acts Viperhouse and Vorcza gained notoriety in the 1990s, and he (Ray) toured with Dave Matthews and Friends for 3 years in the early 2000s. Notably, both members of Soule Monde have been in the Trey Anastasio Band (TAB) for more than 20 years. Additionally, Russ and Ray have made appearances at Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, Saturday Night Live, David Letterman, Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien and Jimmy Fallon.

In early 2018 Ray Paczkowski underwent brain surgery to remove a golf ball sized tumor that threatened his gross motor function. After a difficult year of rehabilitation filled with ups and downs, the “Milkman” as he is affectionately known, made a full recovery. With a freshly shaped lens on life the duo did not waste any time. In the Spring of 2020 Russ and Ray added a third and started LaMP, a supergroup side project with Scott Metzger of Joe Russo’s Almost Dead. That Fall found them in their familiar roles alongside Phish’s Trey Anastasio at New York City’s legendary Beacon Theatre. The Beacon Jams 8-week live stream residency tested the duo’s versatility, rehearsing and performing over 100 songs on the run.

Fast forward to early 2021, and Soule Monde proper returned to Sugarhouse Studios in Waitsfield, VT, surrounded by snow covered Pines, to record “Mimi Digs It”. The decades of synergy show, and eight brand new tracks highlight a musical partnership at the pinnacle of its craft. Much like the sugar yielding Maples on Ray’s Farm, this latest album is the gift that keeps on giving.

Cotter & Friends ft. Cotter Ellis of Goose

We're excited to welcome Cotter & Friends ft. Cotter Ellis of Goose to Stowe Cider on 10/11 at 9pm! Join us for a fun evening of live music and fresh cider!

From Cotter:

Hey y’all! It’s Cotter from Goose & 1000 local BTV bands. I’m really excited to bring this fresh crew of friends out for an eclectic night of music. My long time bandmate and best buddy Jack Vignone will be laying it down on bass. Justin Mazer (Graham Lesh) lived in town, years ago and I’ve always been a huge fan of his musical approach. Combining unique expression with a pinch of grit, his style will blow your mind. On second guitar we locked down one of my all time favorites Rob Compa. Another Burly local and absolute musical wizard. Last but not least we have my good friend Leon Campos on the keys. You may know him from Dwight & Nicole or the numerous other top tier Vermont bands he plays with. Fitting the theme of the other musicians in the band with his extremely tasteful and groovy playing. This band is a chemistry experiment and I have very high hopes for the results.

  • Justin Mazer (Graham Lesh)

  • Rob Compa (Neighbor, Dopapod)

  • Leon Campos (Dwight & Nicole)

  • Chuck Jones (Dopapod)

  • Brian Murray (Dogs In A Pile)

About Ryan Montbleau Band:

A relentless road warrior and masterful wordsmith, Ryan Montbleau has spent the better part of thirty years cultivating a devoted audience on the strength of his ecstatic live shows and exhilarating sonic versatility. He’s collaborated with artists as diverse as Trombone Shorty, Galactic, Steel Pulse, Tall Heights, Martin Sexton, Anders Osborne, and George Porter, Jr; shared bills with the likes of Tedeschi Trucks Band, Ani DiFranco, Todd Snider, The Wood Brothers, Rodrigo y Gabriela, and Mavis Staples; and racked up more than 150 million streams on Spotify alone. NPR’s Mountain Stage compared his “eloquent, soulful songwriting” to Bill Withers and James Taylor, while Relix celebrated his “poetic Americana,” and The Boston Herald raved that “he’s made a career of confident, danceable positivity.”

Montbleau’s freewheeling new album finds him exploring the full spectrum of his influences like never before, touching on folk, rock, funk, soul, hip-hop, and reggae, all with a preternatural ease that belies the intensely focused craftsmanship behind it. The songs are sprawling and unpredictable, grappling with a modern world perpetually teetering on the edge of chaos, but the performances are relentlessly optimistic, insisting on hope and joy in the face of it all. The result is Montbleau’s most vulnerable and cathartic work yet, an album that acknowledges the inevitability of doubt and pain while at the same time celebrating our limitless capacity for growth and love.

Friday Night Music w/ John Lackard Blues Duo

We're excited to welcome John Lackard back to Stowe Cider for our Friday Night Music series on 8/8 from 5pm -8pm! Join us for a fun evening of live music and fresh cider!

This is a free show, first come first served, and you're welcome to stay for as long as you'd like! No outside food or drink is allowed.

About John:

A sound and style that could easily have come from Memphis or Chicago is perhaps what makes John Lackard and his Green Mountain origin so unique. Not just another trip on the “Blues Bandwagon” that is so ever popular today. This is the real thing.

His apparent connection and understanding began when his father brought the Boogie Woogie piano and records into the household, and started a career that has lasted over half of a century. John’s first real musical instrument at the age of five was a Hohner harmonica. Being only eight when he went to work selling greeting cards for points toward a plastic electric guitar. It was followed by a Silvertone “Stella” 12 string acoustic guitar when he was nine. During this time, John moved next door to Buddy Truax, jazz guitarist of “Buddy Truax And The Playboys”. This early influence was enhanced by Buddy’s sons who played bass and drums, providing a rhythm section to jam with in addition to Buddy’s informal “lessons”. By age fifteen he was ready for his first professional stage appearance. Touring New York and New England for a few years led to a stint with Sam the Sham, sit-ins with James Cotton, Jimmy Rogers and Bob Margolin, working with Cotton’s drummer as Ken Johnson and Co., in addition to opening shows for Jimmy and James as well as countless others.
