About Maple Run:
Maple Run Band is "a fun eclectic ridge through waltz, bluegrass, and rock" according to Radio Free Texas. The Vermont based Americana band features the vocal harmonies of Trevor Crist (vocals, guitar, piano, organ) and Nicole Valcour (vocals, drums), underpinned by the tight musicianship of Bill Mullins (electric guitar) and John "Spence" Spencer (bass). The Boot writes that "The band has a knack for pulling out classic rock grooves, adding a coating of roots music, and spinning a fresh sound."
Trevor Crist: Multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter. Trevor grew up on a farm on the High Plains of Western Kansas, and that upbringing on the dusty prairie listening to country music on AM radio comes through in his songwriting. Since moving to Vermont 20+ years ago he's played in a number groups, most notably Construction Joe, the popular alt.country act active on the Vermont music scene in the 90s.
Nicole Valcour: Drummer, singer, sometimes bass player. And not too bad on the accordion either. Nicole and Trevor first played together in Construction Joe, where their years holding down the rhythm section together locked them permanently into synch musically. They are back together in Maple Run Band, where they sing harmonies and compare notes on their poultry flocks.
Bill Mullins: Bill is a versatile and prolific guitarist, playing with multiple bands across a range of genres over the years, as well as performing regular studio session work. He always brings a unique sound to any project. When not laying down hot country licks with Maple Run Band, he can be found fronting his legendary surf-rock band, Barbacoa.
John Spencer: John gave up music when he got drafted by the Red Sox. But the minor leagues can chew you up and spit you out, and fortunately they spit him up in Vermont, where he holds down the bass lines for the band.
